The architect’s solution to work around this restriction is to dig an underground level for the villa so it still has comfortable spaces for the owner to enjoy staying in it. The restriction comes as a way of keeping the location’s rural character by not obstructing it with an assuming architectural design.
The modern large villas in Naaldwijk is fitted with a large white frame that outlines its glass walls. These glass walls seem to be the focal point of the villa’s entire concept here.
The transparency is further supported by the use of open-plan style implemented in which minimum amounts of doors are installed.
